Use the pipeline board
Move an opportunity forward and keep its next action clear.

Use this when
Use this guide when a deal changed stage or needs a clear next action.
The pipeline board shows potential business by stage. Each card is an opportunity with a value, linked people, and a next action.
1. Open the opportunity
Open Pipeline and select a card. Review the contact, company, recent activity, tasks, and proposals before changing its stage.
2. Move it once the evidence actually changed
Use the card's grip to drag it to the right stage; an insertion marker shows exactly where it will land, and releasing saves the move while Escape cancels it. From the keyboard, focus the grip, press Space to lift the card, use the arrow keys to move it, and press Space again to drop it. Moving a card to a lost stage asks for a reason in a dialog, because that reason is what makes the loss useful later.
Scroll the columns or use the column buttons above the board at any screen size. You can Tab to a column button and press Enter, or focus the board and use the arrow keys to scroll. Your place stays put through refreshes and returns when you open an opportunity and go Back. With reduced motion enabled, column navigation moves immediately. On a phone, hold the grip briefly to drag, or use the card's stage control to move it without dragging. Scrolling from the card body does not start a drag. Filtered views keep the stage control available; clear filters to reorder the complete board.
Complete any confirmation or required reason. Use the outcome of the conversation or proposal as your evidence. A stage should describe what happened, not what you hope will happen.
An AI-suggested stage change waits in Approvals. Review it before authorizing the move.
3. Leave a next action
Make the next commitment clear: what needs to happen, who owns it, and when it is due. Overdue tasks can surface on Today, where you can complete or snooze them.
4. Check the saved state
Wait for the saved confirmation, then confirm the card actually landed in the intended stage and order. If a save fails, the board checks the stored position for you, and since a stage change can succeed even when a separate order update fails, the message tells you which one actually happened rather than leaving you to guess. If the stored position can't be checked, use Refresh board before you move another card, and if a colleague changed the same record first, refresh and read their change before you act again, so you're building on their decision rather than quietly overwriting it.
Review closed business
Won and lost deals leave the working columns. Use the Revenue view to inspect closed business, and the opportunity's history to understand how it got there. Keep related delivery work linked to the same customer records.
What to know
Availability depends on enabled modules, workspace permissions, provider connections, and the current installation. Check the recorded status before relying on a live result.
